3 Tips for Buying Vintage Scarves

Know your passion. Travel souvenir scarves are collectible, especially those made mostly in Japan. Another sought after items are high-end scarves designed and made in Europe.

Know the key players. Some people collect Vera scarves, designed by Vera Neumann from the late 1940s through the 1980s, and these are usually easy to find. Other “names” are Hermes, Dior, Burmel, Vera, Sally Gee, Ellen Tracy, Pierre Cardin, Oscar de la Renta, Yves Saint Laurent, Albert Nipon, Adrienne Vittadini, Echo, Liz Claiborne, Anne Klein, Calvin Klein, Perry Ellis and Honey.
